Do you want to plan some quality learning time and community fun with others from the comfort and safety of your living room or home office?  Have you ever been part of book club or wanted to participate in a craft with friends and neighbors while discovering a new technique or skill?

Sevastopol School District is once again planning community courses from January through March 2021 but this year they will all be offered online.  Similar to past years, course offerings will provide a great deal of variety, and will be taught by many Sevastopol staff instructors or community partners who bring not only their expertise, but personality and passion for their craft to the programming.

“Our school has always been a community center for activities and learning,” said Melissa Marggraf, Director of Pupil Services. “We want to once again bring our community together for some memorable opportunities and do so in a way that is both safe and effective.  So, all classes will be offered online.”

Returning this year are arts and craft class favorites that include quilting, jewelry making, and a new Paint Pour class where participants can create a beautiful organic pattern on a canvas with poured paint and engage in this new, fun trend.  Other course highlights include art therapy sessions, internet security and personal computer classes, and a course being offered called American Sign Language.

“All classes are offered free of charge (unless specific supplies are required) and are planned during a time of year when we are often looking for a different experience or escape.  If you haven’t registered before, we encourage you to try Sevastopol Community Programs this year.  If you are a repeat attendee, please invite a friend or neighbor to experience our great instructors and facilitators,” Marggraf said.
