Sevastopol Elementary Awarded for High Academic Progress

State Superintendent Tony Evers has announced Sevastopol Elementary as a Wisconsin Title I School of Recognition for High Academic Progress.  In order to qualify, Sevastopol had to first meet eligibility with significant numbers of students from low-income families based on federal free and reduced-price school meal income guidelines. Also, all schools selected must meet the state’s test-participation, attendance, and dropout goals.  In order to qualify for the High Academic Progress recognition, Sevastopol had to fall within the top 10 percent of schools experiencing growth in reading and mathematics for elementary.  Follow this link for the official letter from the DPI and Tony Evers.
