 Mural Project 2010
“Our Sevastopol Community From Shore to Shore”
Students in grades 4K through 8 recently kick-started a tile mural project with artists in residence, Jean and David Aurelius.  The early stages of the project are now complete. Students began with brainstorming ideas based on the theme of our Sevastopol community. Mrs. Aufdermauer and Ms. LaVick, the Sevastopol art teachers, provided the opportunity in art classes for students to create sketches for the mural project.  Students then worked with the artists to incorporate sketches into the overall design.  The artists will return in February to begin the clay portion of the project.    The completed mural will be showcased in the main entrance to Sevastopol upon completion.   There will be more pictures coming soon so visit our website again.     -submitted by Cory Carlson, sixth grade student
