The Sevastopol PTO would like to thank everyone involved in the PTO events for an incredibly successful school year! Before we adjourn for the summer we wanted to share some highlights from 2016-2017 and invite you to join our May meetings (held the second Monday of each month at 3:20pm).

Events & Activities

   Ice Cream Social & Carnival: In August we welcomed our kids back to school with a carnival themed table at Registration and an ice cream social at Open House.

   Allies In Autism:  We are proud to have sponsored $486.40 for various supplies needed in this area.

   Earth Day:  We spent $400.00 on celebrating Earth Day.  We purchased trees for every elementary child in the school as well as honoring a local community member who has made a huge difference in our community to help preserve our earth!  Hurray for Earth Day!

   Destination Imagination: Each year, PTO supports DI teams competing at Globals. This year we’ve approved $300.00 per team up to a total of 4 teams for a total of $1,200.00. We are so very proud of our students and coaches!

   Cyber bully Presentation:  We supplied $333.33 toward this event for grades 5th through 8th grade.  This was a very powerful event for our students to learn about cyber safety!

   Kari Anderson/Stone Harbor:  PTO helped fund the Kari Anderson Artist Residency for our 5th graders as well as we donated $362.16 to the Stone Harbor Student Art Exhibit! 

   New Snow-Blocks:  We purchased new snow-blocks for the kids to use both at recess and in Physical Education class at the request.  The kids sure had fun!

   Senior Night: PTO annually supports our senior class for their senior night event. This year, PTO contributed $400.00 to help our seniors have a safe and great night!

   Junior Prom:  We donated $200.00 for our juniors to help with their Junior Prom activities.

   Homecoming; We donated $350.00 for our Seniors to help with their homecoming activities. 

   Sadie Hawkins Dance: We donated $150.00 for our sophomores to help with their activities. 

   School Supplies:  Each year we donate $400.00 to school offices to help cover school supplies costs for anyone in need.

   Summer Reading for High School;  We donated $400.00 to aid in the purchase of summer reading materials.

Zones Of Regulations:  We donated $1000.00 for materials to begin a special project. 

   Sevastopol Yearbooks: Yearbooks requests are coming in at record numbers!  A huge thanks goes to Matt Orthober for making it so successful as well as a huge thanks to our 8th grade artists who create our book cover.

   School Supplies:  We donated $300.00 to help pre-k thru 12th grade with added supplies needed for students. 

   Appreciation:  We provided 2 meals to the entire faculty at Sevastopol for both one meal during parent/teacher conferences as well as our upcoming May appreciation in honor of National School Week!!  We greatly appreciate everyone employed at Sevastopol!

   The Opera:  We provided $340.00  for our elementary students to experience a “real” opera!

   Door County Auditorium- Step Africa:  We provided half of the necessary funds of $$397.25 for our students to travel to the Door County Auditorium and experience an amazing group of talented performers!

   I-Pads: We provided $500.00 toward the cost of I-Pads for the music department.

   I-Pads:  We provided $600.00 toward the cost of the I-Pads for the 6th grade.

   Author Katy Mcky:  We donated $600.00 toward this amazing author who worked with our elementary on writing as well as sharing her wonderful story of being an author!

Fun Community Fundraisers

   Turkey Trot: We had our most successful Turkey Trot ever!  Our profit was $ 5,437.89.   We want to thank our community and business for their support in this family fun, community event.  All the money goes to the students and teachers in our school.

   Pioneer Spirit Wear Sales:  There were good sales of Pioneer Spirit wear this year thanks to all of you and the products and designs offered by Paula Reichel of CDE Designs.

   Box Tops & Econo Food Receipts: We are excited to start tallying up the results from some of our annual fundraisers, including the recent Box Top collection that the elementary students participated in. Thank you to all of you who contribute. Resulting funds go right back into much needed playground and physical education equipment, school activities, and events.
